Kanika Gupta is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Square Yards, India’s largest real estate and fintech aggregator. Established in 2014, the company has witnessed exponential growth in a very short span of time. Under Kanika’s astute leadership, Square Yards has achieved a significant scale in facilitating real estate investments worth more than USD $2 Billion through the direct presence of more than 3500 employees in 25+ Indian cities and 10+ International locations. Today, Square Yards ranks as top 20 consumer tech start-ups in India in terms of GTV (~USD1bn), top 50 in terms of revenue (~USD50mn) and is amongst the handful of consumer tech start-ups in India which are profitable.

A Wharton Business School alumnus, Kanika has dabbled in banking, entrepreneurial ventures in event management and entertainment for over 11 years before starting Square Yards. Being one of the very few women entrepreneurs in a male dominated industry, her work has been acknowledged by various publications over the year such as Business World, The Economic Times etc. She has won several accolades for her work in the real estate sector such as the “Business World 40 under 40 Young Achievers and Innovators” (2020), “Women Entrepreneur of the Year” at “Women Empowerment Summit”; “Exceptional Women of Excellence” by WEF, “Young Achiever of the year 2014”; “Women Super Achiever in Real Estate 2015-16”; “Woman Icon of the year 2017”; “Marketer of the year” Award by Economic Times Now; “Excellence in Employment Creation in Real Estate” by CSIE and many more.

When not working, Kanika loves to travel, having been to 6 continents and 45+ countries. She is also a certified Scuba Diver by Padi; a trained dancer having knowledge of Salsa, Tango, Zumba, Kathak and Contemporary dance forms.
